my apartment

mom e-mailed me.
it's not a positive thing.
i think it would almost be better to pack it all into storage.
but i love that little place, because it's all mine.
damn water pipe.
damn 40 year old apartment.
damn, damn, damn!

the bright side of all of this is, new appliances, new flooring, and a new back door.
and twins.
i will have nieces or nephews squared. oooooo, or one of each. interesting.

mom says

IT'S TWINS!!!!!!
I AM SO EXCITED!!!!1
CONGRATS BRETT AND RACHEL!!!!!

eventful

so today, was eventful. not at work. the job is easy and fairly straightforward. it was when i got home, that the small shit storm began....

first of all, i was supposed to find out today if i was going to get a new niece, or another sweet nephew. if you check the last comment on my blog, there are two babies. TWO!!!!! now, the big brother could be lying. we think we are hilarious like that. and rachel could be playing along. and i could be spilling a lot of mis-information to the masses. if those two are lying, i will take back all the christmas presents. in june, i will swoop in and steal the blankets back. don't test me you two.

and secondly, the water pipe over my kitchen burst. the kitchen and dining room are a total loss. can i go home? that's a negative. can't just jaunt home for a weekend, since i am in freaking korea. a little stress here.

hopefully there are two babies, and hopefully my mom can help salvage what's left of my apartment. thank god for renter's insurance.

2 posts in one day!

back from work. the theatre is nice, though i wish it was a tad larger. and the good thing about korea is, most people understand me, in english. and what we can't communicate, a form of sign language and pointing will do.
i could possibly be sitting in the tiniest hotel room in one of the largest cities in the world. my bedroom at home is much bigger then this room. did i mention this in my previous post? clearly i need a nap. let's talk about how i spent my holidays...

christmas eve- a full rehearsal, and opening night with a party
christmas day- a two show day, with not even quite an hour betwixt the two, and a christmas party
day after christmas-day off, with a hallway party, celebrating the 26th
new years eve-evening show, and a party after, and i think we celebrated a minute or two early
new years day-a load-out at 9:00 a.m., then 5 hours of traveling to seoul, to a tiny room, with my luggage arriving hours later.
day after new years-load-in at 9:00 am

so my holidays consisted of, beer, work, beer, work, beer, travel with beer, work.

but i am in korea, and i do like it here. now if i could just find something to eat that didn't have eyes...

oh yea, tomorrow, i get to find out if i get a new niece or nephew in may!!!!!!!

out of china

I AM OUT OF CHINA!!!!!!

so i haven't blogged in awhile, and now i can freely, without restrictions. and you, my adoring fans, can comment, and i can read them. woo-hoo. we are in korea for the next 4 months. i came over early for work, and have already spent a week in seoul. it is great. i am excited to be here. things to know about korea...

it's expensive. like mid-town manhattan expensive
it's clean. i can see across the city.
they have real toilets. enough said for now.
they do theatre here. a lot of theatre. so it's kind-of cool, to have people who understand what i do.

that's all for now, and i will try to be better at this whole blogging thing.

oh and i am spending christmas in gwangju, korea. yea me.

back to beijing...

so in just 4 days, we're going back to beijing. we get 10 days off while the show ships to korea. i plan to eat and shop and rest. my goal is to find jeans that actually fit me. that's a tall order. i also plan to look for gifts for the family back in the states.
we start in gwangju, korea for about a week, then off to seoul for 2 months. we open on christmas day in the first city and close on new year's eve. yea for good scheduling. thank you scheduling gods... that's all i am going to say about that for now. after seoul we're in daejoen for about a week, then our last city is daegu. don't worry, i have already located all the starbucks in korea. that is our one little full company obsession. it tastes the same, which is good. and i have discovered i DO like korean bar-b-que. it is quite good. Kimchi is a very spicy cabbage dish that is interesting. so maybe i can stop losing weight. we'll see. this is it for now.
